Dave on the job. We just hooked up the block and tackle on top of the ridge beam.
Close up of the "stud extensions". Since the rafter was offset to the inside of the buidling (don't know how it happened, but that's something else), I added these spacers to extend the studs, so that the sheathing had a level surface to attach to.
There I am, cutting wood.
And here is Joe, crawling into a hole.

Dave raising some sheathing with the block and tackle. We attached the block and tackle to a C-clamp. We then tightened the C-clamp onto the sheathing. I got the C-clamp idea from the book Working Alone, and it worked like a charm.
I also screwed on "third-hands" to just below where the sheathing panel would sit. Dave would raise the panel to the height of the "hands". While on the second floor, I would then guide the sheathing behind the "hands". I would then tack it in place.
